New Catalyst Cloud service: geo-replicated object storage

5 December, 2016

Exciting news! Today we're launching the Catalyst Cloud geo-replicated object storage service.

The service replicates your objects asynchronously between regions, making it easier for you to make backups, disaster recovery and run web applications in active/active mode. There are some neat features to check out, especially ability to version objects, generate temporary URLs and perform bulk operations. This service plays a major role in our vision for the future of the Catalyst Cloud, paving the way for backup, database and Kubernetes as a Service.

Existing customers will be pleased to find all their existing objects have been migrated to the new service, and everything is ready to use. Our team is on standby and ready to help with any questions - please open a support request if you need a hand.

We have also put together some useful information on our status page about common errors and how to solve them.
